Chinas largest joint venture project starts productionApr. 4, 2006 (China Knowledge) - Chinas largest joint venture project, a factory jointly invested by CNOOC and Shell, recently started production in Huizou, a coastal city of South Chinas Guangdong province. CNOOC and Shell Petrochemicals Company Limited (CSPC) and Huizhou City Government jointly held a celebration last Friday for the launching ceremony of the factory. The expected annual sales from this joint venture is targeted at RMB 13 billion once production begins. Total investment in this project was US$4.35 billion.
