26 Oct. 2005 (China Knowledge) - French investment in Wuhan accounts for one third of the countrys total investment in China, making Wuhan a hotspot for FDI from France. Sixteen French companies have set up their businesses in the Wuhan Development Area with a total investment of US$2.104 billion. French companies have also established 30 joint ventures in Wuhan with a total investment of US$2.2 billion. France is currently the second biggest investor in Wuhan after Hong Kong. French automobile equipment supplier Faurecia will build a third plant in the Wuhan Development Area within this year to manufacture automotive interior trimmings in addition to its two plants that are already manufacturing automotive seating and silencers.
